Summary of Merits:
Comrade Sukhilov is a determined, disciplined, and proactive officer. Thanks to his skilled and steadfast leadership, as well as his initiative, the division has continuously received high-quality bread since he took charge of the field bakery in November 1942.
During the division’s relocation from Oryol to Sumy (Ukraine), then to Chernihiv Region, Polesie Region (Belarus, now dissolved), and finally Kyiv Region, he not only led bread production but also procured and milled grain for the entire division. He ensured timely and uninterrupted bread supply to the troops, actively assisting the division’s food supply department in sourcing and processing grain.
Throughout his service, not once did he produce substandard bread, even under the harshest conditions. He demonstrated remarkable adaptability, swiftly adjusting to local environments and taking preventative measures to avoid bread shortages or quality issues.
For his exemplary service, he was awarded the Medal for Battle Merit in April 1943. Now, he is fully deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
