BRIEF, SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION OF PERSONAL COMBAT FEAT OR MERIT:
Comrade Kupenko, in the offensive battles for the crossing of the rivers Neisse and Spree from 16.4 to 23.4.45, showed courage and bravery.
He personally destroyed a heavy machine gun with its crew, 2 armored personnel carriers, and killed up to 10 enemy infantrymen. Twice delivered ammunition under fire.
Worthy of being awarded the Order of Glory, 3rd Class.
