Brief Account of Deeds
Since July 15, 1944, in the battles of the 1st Baltic Front, Comrade Sneglyov has demonstrated courage, determination, and fearlessness, proving himself to be a brave defender of the socialist Motherland.
On July 31, 1944, during fierce fighting in the city of Dobele, in the Lithuanian SSR , Comrade Sneglyov operated two mortars. After receiving the order to assault with a submachine gun, he maneuvered skillfully and cleverly eliminated 8 German soldiers.
On August 1, 1944, he took part in Novikov’s group during the capture of an enemy mortar platoon. In this battle, he displayed outstanding ability and intelligence, eliminating 28 German soldiers and capturing the enemy’s 81-mm mortar.
